frequently asked questions
WHAT IS ABA THERAPY?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a type of therapy that focuses on improving behaviors, such as social skills, communication, visual perception, and listener responding, as well as adaptive learning skills, such as fine motor dexterity, hygiene, grooming, domestic capabilities, and independence.
WHAT INSURANCES DO YOU ACCEPT?
We currently accept private pay clients as well as those with Maryland Medicaid and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Please let us know if you are interested in services and have a different insurance company.
WHAT IS THE PROCESS? WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will first get to know you through intake information, interviews, and observations. Based on this information a personalized treatment plan will then be created specifically for your family and child. A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will be informed of all the goals and work with the BCBA to first implement these strategies and activities. The BCBA will continue to oversee the RBT and monitor programs and growth and challenges as well as conduct parent trainings and provide any other support needed.
